The next weekend after the wedding was Easter weekend. We had just traveled to Colorado the weekend before so we thought it would be nice to have Easter at home this year. We invited our newly married friends, Brad and Cherie along with Jerad's mom, Debbie. I think I started a new tradition with Easter dinner. Steaks and potatoes. The weather was beautiful so the grilling worked out perfectly. Not only did we torture our friends and Debbie to our non-traditional meal, but we pulled out the games. 
We had even gone to see the florist on Saturday to discuss our flowers for the wedding. She was sweet enough to give us some samples of flowers when we were on our way out. So lucky us, we had some flowers to dress up our Easter table.
The following weekend was also filled with festivities. As Brad and Cherie were married in Colorado, but live here in the Twin Cities, they had a reception up in Roseville for those who couldn't travel out there. It was another fun night and the best part for Cherie was that she was able to wear her dress a second time. How great was that!!
